Been in business for almost 11 years..
What made me decide to do massage therapy??
– that’s easy. I received my first massage in 2006. It was right away that I knew I wanted to be this kind of provider for people. I thought, “who has a bad day at work when you do this?” It has become the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
Why do I continue to do this career?
– as said before it is the most rewarding job ever! The effect you have on others is the best currency you will ever have. To have it be my daily pleasure to relieve someone of stress, pain, sadness and grief.. and all within 60 minutes or less. There are no words to describe the elation you get when you help someone with these problems. A person coming in with their head down, a frown on their face , and raised shoulders.. then to have them leave head held high, smile on their face, pep in their step … it’s the only gratuity that I need!! This career is definitely my purpose in life!!
What affect has my massages had on someone with chronic illness and pain?
– consistent and regular massages helps to alleviate pain, boost the immune system, and lower stress brought on by being ill every day. Most people with chronic illness and pain will be advised by a doctor to have daily bed rest and take it easy, while pumping their body full of medicine . Some choose to not live this lifestyle. However , their illness does make it hard for them to be able to complete any simple daily task. The weekly or bi weekly massage helps to make this more possible. The client feels more energetic, in less pain and has less need for the medications.
