Describe your business

My business is a full Christian coaching service practice. What that means is that my business is a practice that focuses solely on helping people find their higher power, find their inner faith, and all of their inner strengths, their purpose and their passion and their purpose.

What made you decide to open this business?

I opened the business after years of suffering myself with all of the same things that I want to give my clients freedom from. I finally sat down and knew in that moment that I needed to start a business to change people’s lives and give them the opportunity to talk to someone directly to guide them to move forward and change.

What would your customers say they love most about your business?

That is a beautiful question. I would say that my clients love the awakening that they receive from my practice and secondly they love how personal but professional my practice runs. They love that they have someone personal that really cares but then they love the professional side where I put my foot down and say that it’s time to make a goal.

What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had working with a customer?

I have so many beautiful experiences. I would say that one of the coolest experiences that I have gone through with a particular client is probably just watching them go from dealing with so much self-doubt and so much insecurity of who they are, they are just very lost and being able to watch them build themselves up into the person that they know they want to be. Standing there in that power with my client watching them achieve everything that they need, want, and can achieve. It’s just mind-blowing watching people change into watching people know what they can.

Do you have any exciting plans for the future that you want customers to know about?

I am about to finish my hypnotherapy certification, so I will be introducing deep-relaxation techniques and giving people ability to sleep through the night and rest through the night. That is an incredible thing that I am bringing into my practice, the deep relaxation that hypnotherapy brings and secondly I am about to finish my first book. Finishing my first book means that I will be speaking and helping people in mass numbers and it’s so exciting to be able to know that you have material out there that could touch one person at a time just by seeing the cover of your book. Those are the exciting new things that I’m bringing to my practice, and I’m trying to get more men into the practice, too!

Who are some of your business idols and role models? And why?

A life role model would probably be just standing by my values and standing strong in what I believe in and always staying on my path of my strength and my power. I would say that the one role model that probably brings that into my life is my coach, Coach Kerry and my mother-in-law. They bring me that power to bring that next level to my business, that next level to helping me grow into a more powerful, value-centered, human being. They are my role models because they pull the best out of me. So, I want a role model that can do that for me, and that’s hard when that is my job to do that for everybody else. My mother-in-law is my primary role model because she lives life with faith and the biggest heart of complete law. She only shows unconditional love and loves you no matter what, and that is a role model to me. Unconditional love is really hard to give, and if someone like that can do it to everybody and anybody, that is someone that you can look up to.

What do you like most about being an entrepreneur?

What I like most is being able to meet anybody and everybody and being able to fill my life up with the most incredible people. Secondly, I get to take care of my health. Being an entrepreneur and owning my own company means that I get to make the decisions that are right for my health everyday and I love the ability to be flexible and be with my family if I need to or be home or be speaking all day because I get to make my own schedule. Being an entrepreneur means so much more than having a flexible schedule, it means that you got to build something from absolutely nothing. From the ground up, I built a company that helps and saves lives. To be able to do that, the reward is having my own schedule for my health as well as the families I get to help- the mass numbers of not only just working with a mother, I get to work with the daughter and the father and age isn’t a matter in my business, it’s about the willingness to want and need to change. I just love being able to hand-pick my clients like from a tree, and see that apple and know they are worth picking and show them that when you bite into the apple they are beautiful and sweet and delicious and to be able to give clients that reassurance.

What do you love most about the neighborhood?

I grew up in the middle of nowhere playing in the dirt, getting dirty, playing with horses. When you walk into Carefree and Cave Creek, you feel a sense of home. You walk in every restaurant or used store and you feel like the people in there are entrepreneurs and they are trying to do good with their product. The other sense of the small-town is you feel like a cowgirl again, you feel like you are at your roots, you can wear your cowgirl boots and you can go downtown to drink and have a great time going dancing, which is really what I love to do, is country dance with my husband. You can also go down to go to a bike store and have a cup of coffee and breakfast. The community is so much about giving back and that’s the exciting part about being a business in this community, we are all about giving back and making a difference and in an old-fashioned, down-to-earth way.

Why do you think it’s important for people to shop local?

I think it’s important for people to shop local so we can impact the owners and the families of the local businesses where we get to the core and know that by you selling a house to my family member in Cave Creek, I am feeding your mouth and you are feeding my mouth. I love going to a local business and feeling the warmth of it. It’s different when you can know your impacting another business owner at it’s core because you can support another family. Going to Walmart, you may be able to do that, but you might not be able to shake their hand and see how beautiful they are. I love knowing that if you buy something that was made in the United States or if you buy something locally, you impact the local community.
